TERMOLAN’s mission is to manufacture stone wool for thermal, acoustic and fire protection insulation.

The knowledge of all the process that leads to the transformation of basalt and limestone in mineral wool, combined with the use of updated technological means, allows TERMOLAN to manufacture a product that responds to the needs of the customers.

TERMOLAN is consolidating its position in the market thanks to the high levels of quality and competitivity of its products, reached with the appropriate management policies.

The success of the projects that TERMOLAN develops is based in a strong and experienced leadership, in the elevated technological level of the production units and in a team with the appropriate competences that allow qualifying the company for the new emerging challenges:

  • 1975 - IT WAS ELAPSING THE 2nd OF MAY…

    Consolidating an industrial strategy connected to the construction market, TERMOLAN – ISOLAMENTOS TERMO-ACÚSTICOS, LIMITADA is founded, being the pioneer in the manufacture of stone wool in Portugal.

    Therefore, the work was started with machines acquired in Italy, country where our technicians received an appropriate professional qualification. It was a bold and innovated project for the period and the company struggled to impose itself in the market, conquering over the years a reasonable position as the only portuguese company in the sector.

  • 1995 - CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRST FACTORY UNIT

    With the verified evolution in the national market of insulation and after exhausting the investments in improving the quality of the products, emerges the necessity of innovate and create sustainable conditions of growing in a medium and long term. So, it was started a business plan for the construction of the new factory unit equipped with the most advanced technology. .

  • 1997 - OCTOBER, EXPANSION

    Start-up of the new factory unit (Unit 1 – Vila das Aves) wich allowed to quadruplicate the productive capacity installed.

  • 1997 - ROCTERM BRAND

    Complying with the defined strategy and marking the significative evolution of the product, the ROCTERM brand is created. There was also a capital increase that culminated with the transition to Anonimous Society.

  • 1998 - APRIL, QUALITY

    The quality of the products therefore produced becomes a differentiation factor that allowed to consolidate all the industrial operation.

  • 1998 - MAY, FIRST EXPORTATION

    It is fulfilled the first exportation to the European market.

  • 1998 - DECEMBER, LEADERSHIP OF THE MARKET

    It is accomplished one objective previously defined: the leadership of the national market of stone wool. Then, conscious that the quality and prodcutivity are critical factors to the success of any organization, it was stablished a Policy, based on the following landmarks:

    • Satisfaction of the customer; • Satisfaction of the company employees; • Continuous improvement; • Protection of the Environment. e.

  • 1999 - DNV CERTIFICATION

    Assignment of the DNV certification of the product to the Industry.

  • 2002 - ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION

    Certification of the Quality and Management System NP EN ISO 9001 (APCER; IQNET).

    Certification of the Quality and Management System UNE EN ISO 9001 (AENOR; IQNET).

  • 2000 - ROCTERM: NEW BRAND – EXPANSION OF THE PRODUCT

    In the view to the statement and demand that the ROCTERM products registered at national and international level, there was a need to increase the productive capacity. Thus, it was decided to build a new factory unit excusively destined to exportation.

  • 2003 - CE MARKING

    First Iberian producer to make the CE Marking according with the Directive 89/106/ECC, that is related to construction products.

  • 2003 - MAY, UNIT 2

    Begining of the production of the Unit 2 – Santo Tirso. Increase of the productive capacity installed.

  • 2003 - 1st PRESENCE AT “BATIMAT”

    First presence in the exhibition BATIMAT 2003. Presentation of our products to the French market.

  • 2004 - ACERMI CERTIFICATION

    Assignment of the ACERMI certification for the product COBERLAN.

  • 2004 - 1st “AVIS TECHNIQUE”

    Assignement of Avis Technique document for the product COBERLAN N 50 F.

  • 2005 - TOTAL PRODUCTION SOLD

    The objective of selling all the installed and planned capaciy of production was achieved. Then, it was decided to advance to the construction of third unit of production, in order to consolidate the position in the national market and to increase the shares held in the exportation markets.

  • 2006 - UNIT 3

    Begining of the construction of the factory Unit 3 at Vilar Formoso.

  • 2009 - MARCH, UNIT 3

    Begining of the production of the Unit 3 – Vilar Formoso. Increase of the productive capacity installed.

  • 2015 - GROWSFAST BRAND

    Creation of the GROWSFAST brand.

  • 2015 - ISO 14001 ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATION

    Certification of the Environmental Management System ISO 14001.
